Tips For the Elderly – Caring For Your Eyes

It is highly possible that from the time you were a child, your parents kept telling you to eat your vegetables and read with a bright light so as to protect your eyes from harm.

Well, at this time in your life, this warning has not changed. Yes, you do need to continue to protect you eyes so that you will be able to use them properly as you continue to enjoy life.

Some of the things that you can do to care for your eyes are:

Let The Light Shine

When you are looking at a television program, or reading a book, or cooking in the kitchen, or whatever you are doing, if there is not enough natural light in the room, always put on a bulb.

Yes, you may be trying to be a bit more environmentally friendly by using as much of the natural light as you can, but this should not be done at the expense of your health.

However, using fluorescent bulbs and turning them off when you are finished with them and things along this line will continue to help the environment.

Change The Bulbs

It is best to have lights around your home that will help you to move around more comfortably. However, if the light is already on and you find that you are still having trouble seeing clearly, it is time for you to change them.

Yes, you may not want to change them right now, because they are not in your budget for the present month, however, it will be a lot cheaper to do some adjusting now, than having to do so, at a later date, because your eyes need urgent attention.

No Smoking

For many years you would have also heard that smoking is not good for you and a list of reasons would have been given as to why you should not do so. Well, this is another reason as to why you should not do it. That is, it will help to damage your eyes. As you exhale, the fumes that they give off will periodically enter them.

Wear Sunglasses

When you are outside on both a sunny and a cloudy day, it is best to wear sunglasses that will help to protect your eyes from UV – A & B. However, when you enter a building, because you will need to take it off, give yourself a few minutes to adjust to the inside, before moving on with the rest of your activities.

Glares

If you are someone who uses a computer monitor and, or look at the News etc., on the television set, regularly, or even periodically, it is best to put a shield over these screens. These screens will help to prevent the glares from affecting your eyes.

Additionally, if you have prescription glasses, do not neglect to use them during these times.

Also, if you have not done so already, you can talk with your Optometrist (eye doctor) about glare protection for your glasses.

You can repeat with a fresh one twice daily. Depending on how severe the yeast infection is, it may take 7 to 10 days for a full cure. Some people have reported that the symptoms and discomfort could go away in 1 to 2 days.

You can also use garlic pills instead but make sure to read the labels to ensure they are made with all natural ingredients. Another option is to simply insert garlic cloves hourly into the vagina to get symptom relief.

How to use it on the skin

Use garlic oil or garlic juice and apply it to the skin two times daily. You can also safely apply the liquid on the outside of the vagina. If there is irritation or discomfort, you may dilute the garlic oil with aloe vera gel. Others have reported rubbing a cut garlic clove onto the skin directly.

Also consider eating garlic cloves at least once daily with your meals. Garlic has proven health benefits as it acts as an immune system booster. If you do not like the taste or smell of garlic, you can always choose the pills instead.
